Always Coming Back is an ongoing search for the lost desire to make images. When one forces oneself to continue to photograph, can the distant passion reveal itself through the work? I took photographs weekly, for 4 months, followed by a close analysis after processing. Through this practice, I began to use photography as its own body of language to uncover where—and more importantly, why-this passion may have gone astray. I took into account the conscious narratives of the images ,but, I lended my focus and investigation more towards the unconscious narrative: noting patterns and visual signifiers in the work that seemed trivial at first glance, but upon further investigation, let slip a sense of familiarity of the self through their repetitions.
Photography is a palpable something, that can allow what is unsayable to visibly come to the surface, something that simply speaking is unable to reach.
